Environmental protection
CCEM has already achieved substantial milestones, in its 3 years of intensive work, the environmental protection field covering 8% of the total completed and in-progress projects.
Thus, through the services delivered, CCEM experts have achieved:
- EIA for 2.5 GW in conventional energy (natural gas) and for 13 MWp in solar energy; ESIA Scoping for 210 km OHL 400 kV interconnection RO-MD;
- impact of air pollutant emissions assessed for 26 industrial activities – technical consulting (dispersion modelling) and/or permitting;
- 18 industrial and public utility activities with implemented measures for GHG emission reduction – climate change adaptation – technical consulting;
- 711 ha of industrial wastes dumps (closure, post-closure monitoring, remediation-reclamation-repurposing, expansion) – technical consulting; permitting; engineering; onsite technical assistance during construction;
- 23 ha radioactive-waste disposal site – permitting;
- 2,680 m3/h in industrial water management systems and 1,985 m3/h in water cooling systems – technical consulting; permitting;
- 130 km of watercourses affected by extreme hydrometeorological phenomena, subject to sanitation, cleaning, unblocking and dredging works – emergency design and technical assistance;
- 20,173 ha of irrigated surfaces – technical consulting; permitting; 17.7 km of irrigation channels, including 3 pumping stations – onsite technical assistance during retrofitting.
Our environmental consulting and engineering services have been requested by clients in conventional, nuclear and renewable energy industries, the cement industry, mining, metallurgical industry, processing industry – petrochemicals, circular economy – industrial or domestic wastes operators, agriculture, by governmental institutions, as well as consulting and research entities.
