Since June 2023 Mr. Marius Irimia is managing the Electrical Systems Department, in the Energy Division, at CCEM. His responsibility lies in defining and implementing development strategies related to electrical systems, smart grids, smart metering, energy storage, coordinating specific activities, and providing high quality consulting and engineering services, and permitting.
With a robust career in energy consultancy and electrical engineering, Mr. Irimia gained over 13 years of experience in managing and developing departments and business units within renowned companies in the field.
This expertise builds upon a solid foundation of over 14 years spent at ISPE, as engineer – project manager and Head of the Electrical Systems Department, where he designed and coordinated major projects involving the retrofitting and expansion of the national power infrastructure, contributing significantly to the modernisation and development of the Romanian power system in various regions of the country (i.e., over 30 electrical substations, HV-OHL, grid connection for over 40 WPPs and PVPs).
Additionally, Mr. Irimia completed a series of projects for the development of electrical systems for other facilities such as: CHPPs and HPPs; industrial buildings; etc.
Regarding education and professional training Mr. Marius Irimia graduated both bachelor and master classes at the „Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Power Engineering Faculty, these degrees being extremely valuable in fostering remarkable competencies in computer-aided design within the energy sector. The CVET in the electrical field was solidified through the authorization granted by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), in 2012, for the design of electrical installations with any technically achievable installed power and at any standardized nominal voltage (authorized electrician IVA and IIB degree), and in 2019 by up-skilling as authorised project verifier.
