The ongoing project targets future PV power plants with electricity storage capacity on unproductive sites located in the municipalities of Aninoasa, Lupeni, and Uricani.

Within the assignment, CCEM will provide:

• Techno-economic analysis – Feasibility Studies for the proposed investments;
• Specialised studies, including topographical, geotechnical and hydrological investigations;
• ESG assessment services;
• Permitting – Environmental documentation required during the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure until issuance of the Decision of the competent authority.

This project continues the collaboration between PLANET, CCEM and Asociația pentru Dezvoltare Teritorială Integrată Valea Jiului (ADTIVJ) dedicated to supporting the green transition of the Jiu Valley through renewable energy investments and sustainable development initiatives financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The future investments will contribute to the decarbonisation of former mining areas and to the long-term industrial transformation of one of Romania’s most important just transition regions.
