12 Permits and Approvals Obtained by CCEM Experts for MASS GLOBAL ENERGY ROM
The acquisition of these permits and approvals demonstrates CCEM’s commitment and expertise in planning large-scale energy projects, contributing to the sustainable development of Romania’s energy infrastructure.
To this aim, based on the technical documentation and due diligence activities carried out by CCEM experts, the necessary permits and approvals have been obtained for the “Construction and Operational Phase of the CCTG MASS Mintia Investment,” the new combined cycle gas turbine power plant (1770 MW) located in Mintia village, Vețel commune, Hunedoara County, within the premises of the former Deva CHPP.
Over approximately 10 months (August 2023 – May 2024), the multidisciplinary CCEM team—comprising environmental experts, electrical systems experts, GIS planners, architects, and construction engineers—under the careful guidance of Mrs. Claudia Tomescu, Ph.D. (Eng.), Head of the Project Development Department, prepared the necessary technical documentation and studies for these permits and approvals (e.g., construction authorisation, EIA, pollutant dispersion, noise, utility connections, water management, sanitation, civil protection, fire safety, aeronautics, telecommunications, heritage, etc.).
The entire process of information dissemination and due diligence activities at all national and county competent authorities, along with local public debates, was successfully completed.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), during the construction and operational phases of the future power plant, was a complex activity conducted in a sustained manner both on-site and at the headquarters of the competent authorities (Hunedoara Environmental Protection Agency, National Agency for Protected Natural Areas – ANANP Hunedoara, Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, and Ministry of Health)
