1,500 km onsite scoping mission, crossing two countries, three Romanian counties, and six Moldovan raions!

The goal of this initial field trip was to deepen the multicriteria analysis and identify the optimal route for the 400 kV Gutinaș-Strășeni Interconnection T-Line between Romania and Republic of Moldova.

With GPS, maps, great energy, and teamwork, the project consultants – Black & Veatch, CCEM and future beneficiaries TSOs – Transelectrica S.A., and I.S. Moldelectrica – tackled technical issues, assessed land use characteristics, and identified environmentally and socially sensitive areas to develop the T-Line Feasibility Study and ESIA Scoping Report.

It was a challenging mission, but every team member achieved their goals.
